Today, the innovative spirit builds off the invention of the concealed carry gun with the PPK series by creating the PPQ, PPS and Q5 Match. I rarely pay full retail for things these days but I splurged here. It’s pretty common to find them priced right around 570. I have one of these already with more finish wear that Ill be selling to fund this purchase. The Walther PPQ is listed at 649 on the Walther site, but can be found between 400 and 600 over at GunBrokers. Renowned throughout the world for its innovation since Carl Walther and his son, Fritz, created the first blow-back semi-automatic pistol in 1908. Well, it would eventually be a military service pistol.
The value of the gun overall is down about 70%(several thousand dollars) because of this(although it was an excellent deal for me to buy). Walther is the performance leader in the firearms industry. I also have a Winchester M12 that is a WWII issued (non-riot) gun who someone engraved and then someone else refinished(and replaced the military furniture on). The shitty finish it has was due to a defect in how they changed the bluing process and only original finish guns from that time period have this finish issue.
I have a Winchester M12 Shotgun that the finish looks like complete shit on (almost all the bluing is brown patina now) if I had a refinished to look nice it would actually lower the value of the gun. Yes I have an example not related to a a P38 or PPK
