Kratos, still bearing the knowledge of his past mistakes, wants to spare Atreus the bloody lessons he learned from his conflict with gods. He wants to keep his family safe, but Atreus also doesn’t want to stand by and do nothing while conflict consumes the Nine Realms. The mystery of Loki’s role in the upcoming conflict is something that Atreus cannot let go of. In this case, he wants to understand who he could be.
Like most young people, he wants to understand who he is more than anything. While the last game built an enormous amount of trust and understanding between father and son, there is still a great deal of complexity in their interactions – especially after the revelation of Atreus’ Giant heritage and the hidden prophecy only Kratos saw.Ītreus is desperately curious. The freezing winds of Fimbulwinter have come to Midgard, making survival for Kratos, Atreus, and Mimir in the Norse wilds even more challenging than before. The mode fluctuates from attack and defend, forcing Sparta to hold the territory gained as they attempt to destroy Polyphemus.As you can see in the trailer, we’re picking up a few years after the events of God of War (2018).
Contested zones also contain mechanical gears that control the chains binding the one-eyed giant, and after capturing multiple gears, the gods award the Spartan soldiers with the Spear of Olympus, which in turn provides the power needed to dispatch Polyphemus. The first trial demonstration indicates an apparent struggle between Sparta and Troy for control of territory, with the Titan cyclops Polyphemus also in play attacking the warring armies. This decision allows players to trial different weapons, armor sets, and powers inspired by the god of their choice, with extras such as customizable avatar warriors and other multiplayer features able to be unlocked. Players will be on two teams of four where the teams will try to take control of a map in order to earn rewards from the gods, although the players must first sell their champion's soul to one of four deities: Zeus, Hades, Ares, or Poseidon.
The game will offer a multiplayer feature for up to eight players, with a small story element.
